Get ready for Twister Day Pink The Rink! Join us on December 8th at the Acton Arena and Community Centre to celebrate our North Halton Girls Hockey Association. This year, all proceeds will go to Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills (CASHH). Each Twisters team will also participate in a Community Act of Giving to support our local community.
Event Details:
• Date: December 8th, 2024
• Location: Acton Arena and Community Centre
• Event Timing: 9 am to 9 pm
What to Expect:
• Games: All Twister teams will have a game scheduled throughout the day. That’s over 850 female athletes in one location!
• Community Acts of Giving: Each team will choose an act of giving to support our community.
• Volunteer Opportunities: High school students can earn volunteer hours.
• Bake Sale: Each team is asked to donate baked goods for our Bake Sale.
• Donations: We welcome any corporate donations for our team swag bags or Silent Auction.
• 50/50 Draw: We need energetic teams to manage the 50/50 draw throughout the day.
Community Acts of Giving Ideas:
• Food Bank donations
• Sock collection for youth centers
• Hats and mitten collections
• Christmas hamper program
• Shoebox campaign for shelters
• Small gifts for senior residences
