Markus Witte Head Coach U13 AA 2026-2027
Coach Markus Witte is the Head Coach of the U13 AA North Halton Twisters and will be returning to lead the team again next season. Known for his commitment to excellence, Coach Markus brings a deep understanding of the game of hockey and a highly organized, structured approach to coaching. His emphasis on preparation, discipline, and attention to detail has helped establish a high-performance culture where players are motivated to push their limits and achieve success.
Under his leadership, the Twisters compete with intensity, consistency, and pride, maintaining a proven winning record built on teamwork and accountability. Coach Markus previously led the U11 AA North Halton Twisters, a team recognized as the Most Dedicated Team in the 2024-2025 season — a reflection of his ability to inspire commitment, passion, and unity within his players.
Beyond performance, Coach Markus believes that true success in hockey comes from character, connection, and community. He emphasizes teamwork, resilience, and the importance of building strong friendships, creating an environment where athletes grow both on and off the ice while contributing positively to the North Halton community.
Coach Markus is also a proud participant in the Empowered to Lead Program — a leadership initiative dedicated to mentoring young girls and helping them develop the skills and confidence to become future coaches and leaders in women’s hockey.
