Coach Taryn is beyond excited to be with the Twister’s for her forth consecutive season, this time with U11AA. Taryn enjoyed a competitive hockey career, playing junior hockey in the OWHA before moving on to U Sports with the Western Mustangs and Ottawa Gee-Gees, where she was a two-time national finalist and Academic All-Canadian. But what really drives her behind the bench? She loves the challenge, the intensity, and the opportunity to push her players to be their best.
With 15+ years coaching at every level—from grassroots programs to high-performance teams, including Team Ontario at the Ontario Summer Games (bronze medal)—Taryn knows how to develop skilled, confident athletes who work hard and embrace competition.
She’s committed to connecting her players with female hockey leaders and showing them what’s possible, whether that’s OWHA high-performance programs, U Sports, NCAA, or beyond. At the end of the day, Taryn wants her players leaving the rink with a smile, knowing they gave everything they had and grew because of it.
