Twisters Midget AA Head to the US!!
The North Halton Midget AA team will be heading down to the U.S. to play a pair of exhibition games against Castleton State University and Plymouth State University as well as do an official tour of University of Vermont the weekend of October 18-21.
Head coach Tracey Cameron says: " We want to provide as many opportunities as possible for our players to play and be seen by U.S. schools. We have had success in prior years getting our players noticed and recruited, this is the next step in building our program on and off the ice. We plan on this becoming an annual Twister tradition!".
The team will be boarding a coach bus on Thursday October 18th on their way to New England. The first stop will be a game against Plymouth University on Friday afternoon. This will be followed on Saturday with a game against Castleton and a Sunday visit with the University of Vermont coaching staff as well as an official tour.
Castleton and Plymouth both play in the NEHC conference which also includes Norwich, the current D3 national champs. The University of Vermont Catamounts play in the Hockey East D1 conference.
