Submitted By Julie Bottomley on Thursday, December 6, 2018
The Atom B Twisters have been on a roll since they first hit the ice in September! The Atom B team went 6-0-0 throughout the tournament defeating six different team to bring home the gold medal! In the semi final match vs Gloucester the game went to a 10 player shoot out. As the Twisters entered the championship game they knew they had to fight hard in order to come out on top. In the championship overtime again did not solve anything and another shootout was needed to determine the outcome of the game, Edwards netted the game winning shootout goal to help claim gold! Taya Brandt, Claire ONeill, Alyssa Edwards, Nicole Spencer, Eden Boycott and Alyssa Pereira all picked up game MVP awards throughout tournament play. Boycott also picked up 4 shutouts and only allowed 2 goals against.
