Matt is a Professional Engineer, holds an MBA, and has extensive leadership training and experience. He grew up in Halton playing for the AAA Hurricanes and later the Georgetown Jr A Raiders. Matt continued to play junior hockey for the Dundas Blues while studying at McMaster University.
Over the past 10 years, Matt has been coaching in the Halton Hills Thunder organization, and in 2023, he joined the Twisters coaching staff. His coaching philosophy centers on creating a positive and safe environment for players to learn, grow, gain confidence, and develop both hockey and life skills. Prioritizing hockey skills and tactics development, he aims to help each player reach their full potential and grow their love of the game.
Matt is excited about coaching the U15A team in the upcoming season and is grateful for the opportunity.
