Prior to that, she had the privilege of leading the U8/U9 Halton Hills Thunder for two consecutive seasons. Taryn's journey in coaching and hockey instruction began during her teenage years, fueled by a genuine love for the game.
Taryn first started playing hockey at the AA level, and then moved on to the PWHL and CIS. Reflecting on her playing days with the Ottawa GG’s and earning recognition as a CIS Academic All-Canadian, Taryn appreciates the valuable lessons the sport has taught her. While pursuing her Masters in Physiotherapy at Western University, she finished her 5th and final year in the CIS as a Mustang.
Taryn's coaching philosophy is grounded in fostering a deep love for the game and forging personal connections with players. She strives to help her players be the best versions of themselves, on and off the ice. Her goal is to make each player's hockey experience enjoyable, emphasizing teamwork, effort, and perseverance-skills that extend beyond the rink. With careful consideration of what is best for each and every player, Taryn brings both passion and intensity to the rink, aspiring to share the joy of hockey with all.
