U11B Battle at Walter Gretzky Tournament
The U11B team played in the 42nd annual Walter Gretzky Tournament in Brantford Ontario. The girls played their hearts out coming up short in the round robin play to some very good teams from outside of their loop.
They entered the quarter finals ranked 8 of 8 teams and were playing the 1st place and host team Brantford in the elimination game. The girls played some of their best hockey all year to defeat the Brantford Ice Cats 2-1 with 30 seconds to go in 3 v 3 overtime to advance to the semi- finals on Sunday. The girls came up short in the semis but came home so proud of their hard work! Go Twisters Go!
