Holly Esteireiro joined the Twisters as the coach of the U9B team in the 2023-24 season. Holly was also the assistant coach for the U10A Thunder. Holly has a real passion for development and teaching the fundamentals of the game. She loves coaching and helping nurture a love for the sport in the younger generation.
Holly first started playing in boys hockey at the AA level. She played JR in Oakville and played for the top U18 AA team in Ontario. Holly received a scholarship and went on to play four years of NCAA hockey.
When she returned home she joined the North Halton Twisters U15A team and the following season took the role of head coach for North Halton’s first U18AA team. Holly has been trained by some of the top power skating coaches and looks to use her knowledge to build the next generation of female hockey players.
Holly’s coaching philosophy is grounded in helping nurture a love for the game. She believes the fundamentals are the base of every good hockey play. Holly puts a focus on building strong and confident skaters while nurturing a positive and fun team environment.
