CONCUSSION PROTOCOL
We are excited to announce that we are implementing a new Concussion Policy to enhance awareness, as well as the safety and timely return of our players who have experienced a concussion. The attached policy provides information on:
- concussions and baseline testing,
- guidance on identifying a concussion, and
- post concussion protocol.
We encourage all House League players Atom to Senior Women to complete baseline testing. For House League players who tryout and make a DS team (Atom to Midget), as well as Rep players (Atom to Midget) ImPACT baseline testing is mandatory.

Hockey Canada Concussion App
Hockey Canada is doing a great job keeping players safe by taking head contact out of the game and preventing concussions. Learning how to play safe is just as important as learning how to shoot the puck!
Do you want to learn more about concussions? Hockey Canada just launched a brand-new app that helps parents, coaches and other volunteers recognize concussion symptoms and tells them how to manage a concussion. The app even has a great game for you to try out!
Check out www.hockeycanada.ca/apps, download the app and play safe.
See you on the ice!
