A Successful Trip to the U.S.
Submitted By Peter Trivino on Monday, October 22, 2018
The North Halton Midget AA spent a colourful fall weekend in New England on their first annual U.S. Tour. After a hard fought 3-1 loss to Castleton University on Friday evening, the Midget AA team skated to a 1-1 tie against Plymouth State on Saturday afternoon.

The girls also toured both campuses and had a chance to sit down with Coach Venezia at Castleton and Coach Haun at Plymouth to discuss their program and what it takes to play university hockey.

Sunday was a more relaxing day as the team toured University of Vermont with Associate Coach Kozumi from the women’s hockey program.

Overall, the weekend was a great success, two hard fought games and three tours with University coaches. The team is already planning next year’s itinerary!

Castleton and Plymouth both play in the NEHC conference which also includes Norwich, the current D3 national champs.
The University of Vermont Catamounts play in the Hockey East D1 conference.
