NHGHA Board Members
Over the past 20 years of the existence of the Twisters, there have been many changes to the Board. For the past two seasons we have successfully recruited some very active and visionary new board members. Still, it has been a struggle to keep our Board at full complement, allowing current board members to remain active at the team level and to pursue other personal goals.
This past spring at our AGM, many board positions remained vacant, however, we are pleased to announce that over the summer months we have seen some interest from dedicated individuals willing to step in and take on these roles.
David Seeley has been a parent, house league coach, DS coach and HL Convenor over the past 7 years. His objective view will be a strong asset as VP1.
Jason Moorehead has been working with the Twisters for several years as well. His dedication to the house league, DS and REP Programs have been focused on development and he will continue this work at the Board level as he has a strong relationship with our Development Coach, Jim Emmett.
Sharon Point has been the Novice House League Convenor for the past 5 seasons. She brings strong organizational skills and an understanding of how important a solid house league foundation is to the development and success of the organization as a whole. Her communication with coaches, parents and players and her experience make her perfect for this position.
Finally, Elyss Jennings will be taking over for Elaine Colavecchia as Secretary. Her willingness to help at the Board level has been greatly appreciated already as she began to attend meetings and take on duties of this role last season. Elyss brings a high level of organization, commitment, empathy and work ethic to this role and has already proven these attributes through her involvement at the team level.
Thanks to all of those that have stepped up to help the organization run smoothly moving forward.
