We are pleased to announce Markus Witte as our U11AA coach for the 2024-25 season.
Markus Witte brings a wealth of experience coaching and developing players of all ages. Having grown up playing AAA from a very young age, Markus has developed a deep understanding of hockey and is able to translate specific elements of the game into his coaching strategies and practice. In 2023, he was awarded both the Lionel Wilkins Memorial Trophy for Equity and Fair Play, awarding him Coach of the Year and the Lee Petit Memorial award for Hockey Development Coach of the Year.
Markus’ coaching philosophy begins with developing a strong foundation built upon hard work, dedication and teamwork. With these building blocks, he is committed to developing highly skilled individual players that collectively work together to build a strong team. Through his experience coaching various age groups, Markus has been able to build strong connections with each of the players he coaches to understand and unlock their potential. Overall, he fosters a positive learning environment while continually promoting the love of the game.
